JOB – Manufacturing Sales Manager
LOCATION – Purley, South London
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Sales Manager on a permanent basis in the South London area with experience in the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry. Your main duties will include translating a customer’s needs and wants into a product/service and helping drive the product performance across the UK and abroad.
The Sales Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experience working as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar Head of Sales role.
- Experience in Sales, proposals, or project management.
- Previous experience building relationships with clients/customers in a manufacturing or engineering business.
- Strong knowledge of various mechanical and electro-mechanical products and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working within a regulated industry such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Medical devices, or Nuclear would be beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Experience in Mechanical Manufacturing – beneficial.
The Sales Manager role will involve:
- Engaging with customers and clients to understand their needs and requirements.
- Translating a client’s needs/requirements into a product and service.
- Driving sales and business strategies to improve existing accounts and bring in new ones.
- Managing the process from initial enquiry through to proposal and order acceptance.
- Liaising with engineering departments to manage clients’ expectations of our capabilities.
- Travel overseas may be required as and when the role demands.
