Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician required to join a team of over 10 engineers to service and maintain equipment, supporting production at an established site in Yeovil. This environment values innovation and personal development. The position offers a permanent day shift and a competitive salary of GBP 37,956, with quarterly and annual bonuses that can increase the total compensation to around GBP 40K, plus a retention bonus paid in the first year. Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm, and Friday, 7am to 12pm (37 hours a week).
As Maintenance Technician, You Will:
- Perform maintenance on machinery including CNC mills and lathes, compressors, furnaces, and more.
- Engage in machining and fabrication tasks as required.
- Conduct electrical testing on motors and check windings, handling equipment up to 600V 3-phase.
- Operate within a dynamic team, contributing to the maintenance of 1600 machines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site performance.
- Support machinery investments through your expertise, especially in CNC machine tools and sensors.
What You Will Bring as Maintenance Technician:
- A strong multi-skilled background with good knowledge of 3-phase systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- C&G or NVQ Level 3 Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification.
- Electrical knowledge, especially in testing motors and checking windings, including high voltage and 3-phase systems.
- PLC experience is a plus but not essential.
- Fabrication or machine tool experience is advantageous.
