Location: Uddingston, Glasgow

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3pm-12am (45 hours)

Job Overview:
Maintenance Supervisor required for a market leading manufacturer who are growing and investing. They are a successful independent company offering a personable working environment along with opportunities for training and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all maintenance engineering activities whilst on shift.
2. Manage, lead, and supervise a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.
3. Model best practice and demonstrate how to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
4. Ensure that maximum uptime is achieved by using exacting engineering standards in the most efficient ways possible.
5. Assist the Engineering Manager in ensuring engineering solutions are put in place to permanently fix breakdowns/failures and that the root cause is identified and addressed.
6. Ensure continuous improvement with regards to planned preventative maintenance (PPM), including reporting on overall effectiveness, scheduling, and completion.
7. Undertake and assume responsibility for key elements of engineering projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
8. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are employed by all engineering personnel and contractors, confirming compliance through auditing processes.
9. Provide training and ad hoc guidance and support to engineers and engineering apprentices to increase their skills and knowledge base.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent.
2. Experience supervising/managing a team.
