The Role
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Perform bearing fitting and alignment
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in a safety‑critical environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
- Work collaboratively within a shift‑based engineering team
This is a varied, hands‑on position where you'll utilise and develop skills in fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant servicing.
About You
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing environments
- Strong fault‑finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics and drive systems
- Experience with bearing fitting and alignment
- Arc and MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
- Knowledge of cutting and grinding safety regulations
