A world-leading automotive manufacturer in Solihull is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support the production of prestige motor vehicles. The role begins on a contract basis, with the potential to progress to a permanent position after a minimum of 6 months.
The Role Duties:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment
- Rapid fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
- Supporting continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, lean activities)
- Maintaining compliance with PUWER and safety standards
- Delivering technical expertise to problem-solving initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering Maintenance
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
- Proven experience in fault-finding, repair, and preventive maintenance
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proactive, flexible and able to work rotating shifts
Desirable experience: Robotics (ABB), PLCs (Allen-Bradley), automation, conveyors, welding systems, CMMS platforms, lean methodologies (TPM, Kaizen, PPS).
