Setting: Innovative SEN and part-residential School (Ages 8–19)

Our team has access to extensive outdoor learning opportunities in a safe, therapeutic environment where pupils can explore, grow and develop. Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and wider classroom basis.
  • Assist students with various SEN requirements, focusing heavily on SEMH needs.
  • Foster a love for learning while guiding students toward independence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, parents evenings, and whole-school training events.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements):

  • Experience: 6 to 12 months of experience in a care, education, or learning support environment.
  • Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Mindset: A flexible, resilient, and positive approach to supporting learners with complex needs.
  • Note: Direct SEN experience is highly desirable; candidates with a strong care background or those with personal SEN experience looking to transition into education are encouraged to apply.
