An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to work closely with the managing director of a busy Accountancy and Tax practice and Property Development Company, on projects in North East London/West Essex.
Role summary: provide first class support in overseeing and ensuring the smooth functioning of critical IT infrastructure, encompassing operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing efficient and reliable networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), configuring software, servers, routers, and other network components.
- Monitoring network performance and integrity; proactively troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure issues; streamlining tasks through automation.
- Implementing robust backup procedures for servers and ensuring comprehensive technical documentation.
- Proposing enhancements to optimise network performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Planning, organising, controlling, and assessing IT and electronic data operations.
- Spearheading the design, development, implementation, and coordination of servers, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring alignment with user needs and server functionality, contributing to organisational policy.
- Providing help desk and technical services assistance to on-site and remote employees.
- Managing all aspects of the implementation and operation of information and functional systems for the organisation, including software applications, network, phone systems and end-user computers.
