Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Science curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Design engaging lesson plans and cutting‑edge resources to contribute to departmental growth.
  • Monitor and support the overall personal and academic progress of students as a dedicated Form Tutor.
  • Actively participate in staff Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and quality assurance to raise student attainment.

What We Are Looking For

We want to meet educators who are ambitious, tenacious, and enterprising. Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, paired with a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Experience: Successful teaching experience at the secondary level (teaching practice counts), ideally within diverse, multi‑ethnic urban school environments.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of effective teaching theories, National Curriculum requirements, and student assessment.
  • Mindset: High expectations for all students, excellent time management, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent ICT skills (especially with interactive whiteboards) are highly valued.
