About Us

Dukes Aldridge Academy is a member of the Aldridge Education family of schools. Aldridge Education is a charitable Trust of entrepreneurial community schools and colleges that help young people to reach their potential. We support our schools' Principals and teachers in rapidly improving the quality of education on offer at early years, primary, secondary and sixth-form levels in order to transform the life chances of our students.

About The Role

Are you passionate about student welfare and committed to ensuring every young person feels safe, supported, and ready to learn? We are seeking a dedicated and organised Student Services and First Aid Lead to play a vital role at the heart of our academy. This is a key position, responsible for leading first aid provision and ensuring the smooth and effective operation of Student Services as a central hub of support for students, staff, and families. You will be the first point of contact for student welfare needs, providing high-quality first aid and coordinating appropriate care throughout the school day. Alongside this, you will oversee the day-to-day running of Student Services, ensuring communication, record-keeping, and administrative systems are accurate, efficient, and responsive. Working closely with pastoral teams, staff, parents, and external agencies, you will maintain up-to-date medical and safeguarding records, support student wellbeing, and ensure that all processes are handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the daily experience of young people.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified first aider (or willingness to train) with a strong commitment to student welfare.
  • Experience in an administrative, school, or student-facing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records and data systems.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Key Benefits

  • Aldridge Benefits Scheme: Enjoy exclusive offers and discounts tailored just for you.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme: Save money and stay fit with our bike-friendly benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Programme: Your well-being matters. Access free, confidential support whenever you need it.
  • Free On-Site Parking: No more hunting for parking, we've got your spot covered.
  • Pension Schemes: Secure your future with access to the Teachers Pension Scheme or Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Refer a Friend Scheme: Know someone who would love it here? Earn rewards by bringing them on board.

If you are shortlisted for the position, Aldridge Education will carry out online searches, including a review of your social media presence, in line with our safeguarding responsibilities. These checks are conducted in accordance with the statutory guidance outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025. The purpose of this process is to identify any publicly available information that may present potential safeguarding concerns and to ensure that appropriate due diligence is undertaken.
