An established, well-regarded law firm seeks an experienced Head of Residential Property to join its team on a succession-planned basis.

The Role

  • Lead the residential conveyancing department, managing two offices and overseeing the daily operation of the team.
  • Oversee high-quality residential property work, including transactions for high net worth clients currently handled at Partner level, which offers a strong pipeline of quality instructions and an opportunity to further develop internal referral relationships.
  • The role is primarily office-based, with flexibility to work from home one to two days per week.
  • In the long term, there is a clear pathway to progress into the firm’s management team.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 5+ years PQE in residential property.
  • Strong technical expertise across the full range of residential conveyancing matters, confident supervising and mentoring other fee earners.
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness, proactive leadership, and genuine interest in contributing to strategic development of the firm.
  • Ideal for a Senior Residential Conveyancer seeking a Head of Department role or an existing department head seeking a stable succession-planned role with long-term progression into senior leadership.
