Umbrella Rate: A GBP 27.38/hr, increasing to A GBP 35.89/hr after 12 weeks (Inside IR35)

As a Plant IT Engineer, youll become a go: to expert for Plant Floor System (PFS) applications, supporting critical operations and helping shape smarter ways of working at a major engine manufacturing facility.

This role offers a clear, meaningful mission and the chance to sharpen high: value IT support skills in a fast: paced industrial environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the seamless operation of PFS (Plant Floor System) applications on site.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for multiple PFS applications, using that knowledge to deliver production support and practical improvements.
  • Manage and resolve critical incidents and issues, working closely with in: plant customers, other in: plant IT teams, global IT, and suppliers.
  • Support the implementation of infrastructure and application projects, ensuring robust delivery and smooth adoption.
  • Follow best: in: class IT processes, tools, methodologies, and standards, including audit requirements as set out in the Master Audit Schedule.
  • Create and maintain documentation to keep supporting plant systems clear, compliant, and easy to operate.
  • What You Will Bring
  • Extensive software delivery experience.
  • Experience in production environment support, configuration and deployment, with a strong track record of keeping systems stable.
  • Systems administration capability, including planned upgrades and patches, with confidence in managing routine and urgent change.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads, multitask, and react effectively when critical issues arise.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in an IT or related subject.
