We are currently experiencing a high demand for Learning Support Assistants to support our secondary schools across all areas of Liverpool. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality academic and behavioural support.

Key Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students who need extra help with their work.
  • Work with small groups of pupils to keep them focused on the task.
  • Explain the teachers' instructions in a simpler way for students.
  • Help students with their reading, writing, or practical activities.
  • Help the teacher manage classroom behaviour and keep students on track.
  • Prepare learning materials and hand out equipment during lessons.
  • Monitor student progress and give feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support students' well-being and confidence within the school day.
  • Supervise students during break times and between lesson changes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people (classroom support, coaching, or youth work) is preferred.
  • Attributes: A patient, encouraging nature and the ability to explain tasks clearly.
  • Compliance: You must hold or be willing for an Enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK.
