We are looking for a passionate and motivated Counsellor to join the SHARP Programme, working across Rodney Street and Brink Parr Street in Liverpool. This is a full‑time role (35 hours per week) within a community treatment service supporting adults aged 18+ affected by drug and alcohol use.

Working within a community‑based day rehabilitation setting, you will help deliver an integrated programme of clinical, psycho‑social and wellbeing interventions designed to support lasting recovery and positive life change. You will play an important role in delivering the Forward Trust SHARP programme, which combines the 12‑Step recovery model with an ITEP (CBT) approach, supporting clients to engage in structured treatment and make meaningful, transformational progress.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver 1:1 counselling interventions and support daily structured group programmes
  • Support client assessments, admissions and recovery planning
  • Help facilitate the SHARP day programme and pre‑abstinent services
  • Support clients with 12‑step work and programme assignments
  • Work closely with Recovery Practitioners and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and support care planning processes
  • Contribute to a safe, positive and recovery‑focused environment
