Teaching Assistants: Transition into Care (Without Losing Your School Holidays) – join our Outstanding rated residential campus in Lingfield. We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to apply your classroom skills in a home environment, supporting young people with epilepsy, autism, and severe learning disabilities.
Key Points
- Location: Lingfield, Surrey
- Salary: £12.71 – £13.65 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Contract: Full‑time and Part‑time (up to 44.25 hours/week, Term‑Time Only)
- Shifts: Early, Late and Split shifts available (Monday to Friday options)
- Term‑Time only – 39 weeks per year, all school holidays off
- Flexible weekday shift patterns – keep weekends
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic support to young people aged 4‑25 with complex needs in a home‑like environment
- Assist with mobility, communication, challenging behaviours and daily personal care with dignity and respect
- Collaborate with experienced care staff, teachers and therapists in a team‑oriented setting
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 months experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in childcare/education
- Patient, resilient, caring and an excellent team player with understanding of neurodiversity
- Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Ready to transition into the role in September
