We are seeking dedicated SEND specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support: work 1:1 or in small groups to make learning accessible, using sensory play, visual timetables, and personalised communication tools.
- Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet the specific sensory and cognitive needs of the student.
- Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Makaton, or AAC devices to give every child a voice.
- Act as a calm, consistent presence; recognise early signs of distress and use sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies to support the student's wellbeing.
- Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development and safety.
