Overview: Female Support Worker(s) / Buddy to support and care for Poppy.

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £17.00–£19.00 per hour.

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time (48 hours available per week).

Our Client: Poppy, a young woman in her early 30s living at home with family, has cerebral palsy, autism, and a brain injury. She is non‑mobile, requires support for all daily activities, and may exhibit challenging behaviours. Despite speech difficulties she communicates well.

Interests and Hobbies: Poppy uses a powered wheelchair, enjoys day trips (including London), bingo, coffee shops, walks, shopping, quiet home days, relaxing and crafting. Candidates should share similar interests and be happy to join outings.

The Role: Provide client‑focused support, assist with personal care, support mobility, facilitate day‑to‑day activities and outings, and implement behaviour‑management techniques. Work collaboratively with a professional care team and respect privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Full, clean UK driving licence and personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to drive the adapted vehicle if required.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Positive, sociable, open‑mind attitude, without preconceived ideas about Poppy’s challenges.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.

Hours & Schedules: 48 hours per week available; two part‑time Support Workers will be recruited. Shifts include: day shifts 07:00–17:00 or 09:00–19:00 (Sunday–Friday inclusive), and night shifts 19:00–07:00. Training hours from Sunday to Friday inclusive 09:00–17:00. Flexibility to adjust hours for trips and additional coverage during leave.

Pay Rates: Mon–Fri: £17.00 per hour. Sat–Sun: £19.00 per hour.
