The position is a Field Service Engineer role in a highly successful manufacturer of forklift trucks. It is ideal for individuals who wish to work in a company driven by its employees, providing comprehensive training and support.
The role is suitable for engineers from any plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or similar, and is also a great opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry, as the company will fully train you. You must demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and basic electrical skills. You will be part of a team of engineers and be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on a range of forklifts. No extensive travel is required. Excellent on-target earnings (OTE) are available through overtime and commission.
Role In Brief
- Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
- Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
- Complete comprehensive training to achieve full competence on all machinery and equipment
- Spares placed in van overnight
Qualifications
- Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade
- Ideally hold a Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
- IT literate
