About The Role
Are you a passionate, resilient, and student-centred educator looking to make a meaningful difference? The RNN Group is seeking a dynamic Lecturer to join our Inclusive Curriculum team, primarily delivering within the Engage provision. The Engage programme is a specialised 14-16 Electively Home Educated (EHE) initiative designed to support young people who have experienced disrupted education or been home-schooled. In this role, you will help these learners re-engage with education, rebuild their confidence, and prepare for post-16 vocational study pathways across our campuses. Beyond the core Engage provision, you will also contribute to our wider Inclusive Curriculum, including FLEX and Project-Based Learning (PBL) programmes. These initiatives specifically support learners with SEND, SEMH needs, or other significant barriers to education through skilled, trauma-informed, and restorative practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist 14-16 learners, EHE students, or alternative education provisions.
- Support learners with SEND, SEMH needs, or complex barriers to learning.
- Support the day-to-day delivery of the Engage provision and wider Inclusive Curriculum programmes.
- Collaborate with Lecturers, Pastoral Coaches, Job Coaches, and Learning Support Assistants to help learners engage and progress.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience teaching or working with 14-16 learners, EHE students, or alternative education provisions.
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH needs, or complex barriers to learning.
- A recognised Teaching Qualification or a specialist SEND qualification.
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE C/4 or above) or equivalent.
