This school is number 1 in the local catchment and is over subscribed year on year. This is a specialist school that offers both primary and secondary provisions. The site currently supports 110 pupils with the view to growing in January 2027. This setting is an independent specialist school that supports severe and complex needs SEN needs.

This school is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join the team. In this role youre offered the opportunity to train and progress in a supportive working environment. Your role will entail supporting children on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis. Youre supporting the whole child so in addition to supporting their education youre also integral in ensuring their well Being, building their confidence, developing life skills and encouraging socialisation.

This role is required on a full time permanent basis and is a term time only role. Applicants will be expected to work Monday:Friday 8:30:4:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Relevant SEN experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and learning activities
  • Communicating with teachers over pupils progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents evenings and whole school training events
