A leading sustainability consultancy is seeking an experienced LCA Consultant to join their London team. This pivotal role focuses on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and embodied carbon, offering the chance to influence low-carbon strategies across high-profile built environment projects. With increasing emphasis on GLA, BREEAM, and wider net-zero carbon requirements, this role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of embodied carbon to lead project delivery and guide clients through evolving sustainability frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed LCAs for construction and infrastructure projects using tools such as OneClick LCA, eTool, or similar.
- Lead efforts on embodied carbon reporting, reduction strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Support Whole Life Carbon (WLC) assessments aligned with GLA and RICS methodologies.
- Advise on circular economy principles, materials selection, and decarbonisation opportunities.
- Contribute to sustainability certifications (BREEAM, LEED, WELL) through accurate carbon assessments.
- Stay ahead of net-zero and carbon legislation, supporting clients with strategic insights.
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong technical expertise in embodied carbon and LCA methodology.
- Proven experience delivering LCAs in line with EN 15978, RICS WLC guidance, or GLA requirements.
- Proficiency in LCA software (OneClick, eTool, SimaPro, GaBi, etc.).
- Solid understanding of BREEAM, LEED, or similar certification processes.
