Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent dental practice for a Dental Nurse with Reception Duties to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a varied position combining chairside dental nursing, surgery preparation and reception duties, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys patient contact and wants to develop their career within dentistry. Previous dental nursing experience and GDC registration are essential.

The Role

Clinical and Chairside Duties

  • Providing chairside assistance during dental appointments
  • Preparing surgeries for procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control
  • Cleaning and sterilising instruments
  • Monitoring and replenishing clinical stock
  • Ensuring surgeries are fully prepared for patients

Reception Duties

  • Booking and managing patient appointments
  • Supporting the smooth running of the practice diary
  • Responding to patient queries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Supporting the general administration of the practice

Patient Care

  • Providing a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
  • Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The exact working pattern will be discussed during the recruitment process.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally be:
