We are currently looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support children for a primary school in Manchester. As a successful candidate, you will be working at a passionate primary school that enhances the curriculum to develop skills and instil positive behaviour. You will be responsible for supporting students in the classroom, creating an uplifting learning environment, as well as continuing your own professional development. It is a highly rewarding role, where qualifications are ideally desired. We are looking for those with experience working with children. This is a full-time position for 5 days per week. Working hours would be from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Your role will consist of guided reading sessions with small groups of children in class following the national curriculum.
  • Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.
  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour.
Requirements
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Eligibility to work in UK (sponsorship is not available with this role).
  • Minimum 3:6 months of experience working with children.
  • Effective communication skills and discipline.
  • Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning for all.
  • Be willing to be fully involved in the life of the school community.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
