Position Overview

Experience Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer (EC & I Engineer)

Location: Kings Lynn

Working Hours: Monday to Friday + On-call rota

Salary: GBP 52,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electrical, control and instrumentation systems operate safely and efficiently
  • Electrical safety isolation, LOTO, testing and commissioning
  • Work on industrial manufacturing machinery and automated warehouse systems
  • Fault finding on electrical systems, motors, control valves, PLCs, HMI, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation and controls
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and preventive maintenance programmes

Qualifications:

  • Completed a time-served advanced modern apprenticeship
  • Ideally HNC or HNC (Electrical Engineering)
  • Strong electrical fault‑finding skills – motors, controls, PLCs (Siemens), DCS, HMI
  • Understanding of instrumentation – sensors, transmitters, pressure, temperature and flow
  • Confident in safe electrical isolation (LOTO)
  • Experience in electrical testing and inspection
  • Work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Able to read electrical schematics, loop diagrams, P&ID diagrams
  • Knowledge of variable speed drives, soft starters
  • Flexible to work on call‑out rota and extra hours as required
