Reeson Education are recruiting a skilled Science Teacher for a well-established secondary school in Rotherham (S62). This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons while maintaining strong classroom management and promoting academic achievement.

About the Science Teacher Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver structured and stimulating lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable). You will play a key role in developing pupils' scientific understanding, practical investigation skills, and analytical thinking across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high‑quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Practical Application: Plan and supervise safe and effective practical experiments that enhance pupils' scientific knowledge and engagement.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain clear routines, expectations, and a focused learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, senior leaders, and parents to support pupil achievement.

To Succeed as a Science Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (specialism desirable).
  • Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness through Reeson Education.
