The Hospitality Event Supervisor role within Hospitality Services supports the delivery of high‑quality hospitality, banqueting and catered events at the Civic Centre and the Mansion House.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver a wide range of functions including corporate events, civic engagements and weddings.
  • Ensure consistently high standards and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Build strong client relationships, understand client requirements and deliver successful events.
  • Manage multiple events, work to tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • Handle cash and banking duties, demonstrating accuracy and financial awareness.
  • Work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment, supporting operations both front‑house and back‑house.
  • Adopt improvements to service standards and enhance the guest experience.
  • Assume evening and weekend working commitments to support functions and weddings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in hospitality, events and banqueting with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering quality events within a hospitality or banqueting environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple events.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
  • Good working knowledge of front‑house and back‑house operations.
  • Desirable experience in improving service standards and enhancing the guest experience.
