Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Autism Support Worker, or Education Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in specialist education? Do you have experience supporting children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEND, ADHD, learning difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs?
This specialist Autism Accredited school supports children and young people aged 7-19 with high-functioning autism and associated learning needs. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a structured, nurturing, purpose-built learning environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 SEN support and small group intervention sessions
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and senior leaders
- Help students develop communication, social interaction and life skills
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning programmes
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes for all learners
