Overview

Science Teacher (QTS/ECT): Flexible Secondary Supply Roles. We are seeking dedicated and highly qualified Science Teachers to join our network of secondary schools. This role offers professional freedom to focus on delivering high-impact lessons with the flexibility of supply teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Provide expert instruction focusing on core curriculum mastery, data analysis, and scientific inquiry.
  • Support examination cohorts with targeted preparation for GCSE and A-Level success.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and disciplined laboratory environment, ensuring all health and safety protocols are observed.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL, to ensure accessibility for all.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are highly encouraged.
  • Possess a degree in a Science-related field with a comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students quickly.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one, with a firm commitment to safeguarding.
