Overview
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a Solar project based near Leicester. This is a hands-on site leadership role requiring strong coordination skills across multiple disciplines, with a clear focus on safety, programme delivery, risk management, and contractor supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management and oversight of site activities
- Coordination of subcontractors and multiple trades/disciplines
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and site safety standards
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance
- Conducting and reviewing RAMS, permits, and daily briefings
- Liaising with project stakeholders, clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on site activities
- Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification
Essential Requirements
- SMSTS qualification
- Fully conversant with CDM 2015 regulations and responsibilities
- Valid 3-Day First Aid qualification
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Available to work five full days per week on site
- Strong risk management mindset and practical application experience
- Proven experience supervising construction projects involving multiple disciplines
Desirable / Advantageous
- Telehandler, IPAF, or other relevant plant tickets
- Previous solar / renewable energy project experience
- Civil engineering or groundworks experience
- Time-served construction background
- Experience working within live operational environments
