The Mission

We are looking for a KS3 SEN Teacher who is ready to step away from traditional constraints and into a role where creativity and compassion are your most important tools. Based in Hinckley, you will work with a vibrant group of learners aged 7–19. Our mission is simple but profound: to help young people reengage with education by building a curriculum around them, rather than forcing them to fit a mold.
A Different Kind of Teaching
- Forget the 30–student lecture. Here, you will focus on small groups and 1:1 interventions, allowing you to actually see the impact of your work in real time.
- Diverse Curriculum: You’ll lead sessions in Maths and English, but you’ll also dive into life‑skills subjects like Cooking, PSHE, and Preparation for Adulthood (PFA).
- Multi‑Sensory Approach: In collaboration with our Site Lead Teachers, you will craft innovative, hands‑on learning experiences that satisfy individual EHCP requirements.
- Emotional and Academic Growth: Your goal is to balance academic progress with social and emotional resilience, ensuring every student feels empowered to reach their full potential.
- Professional Collaboration: You will be a key part of the support network, working with Learning Managers to maintain accurate profiles, track milestones, and report on student transitions.
Who You Are
- You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Level 6 qualification.
- You have a deep understanding of (or a strong desire to master) the nuances of SEN teaching and learner‑centred practice.
- You can build bridges with families and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- You thrive in a flexible environment where no two days and no two students are the same.
