An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing specialist contractor operating within the aluminium glazing, curtain walling and façade sector. We are looking for a motivated and organised Technical Assistant to support the delivery of commercial projects from order stage through to manufacture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a technical environment and has strong organisational skills, with a particular interest in procurement, materials coordination and project support.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical, Production and Purchasing teams to ensure materials are accurately scheduled, ordered and delivered to meet manufacturing and project deadlines. Whether you already have experience within the façade, glazing or construction industry, or are looking to develop a long-term career in a specialist technical sector, this role offers excellent training and progression opportunities.

The Role Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Producing material schedules and take-offs using LogiKal software.
  • Generating procurement information from approved project designs.
  • Ordering materials from suppliers and monitoring delivery schedules.
  • Coordinating with system houses, manufacturers and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Tracking lead times and resolving supply issues where required.
  • Supporting production planning activities and manufacturing schedules.
  • Assisting with project documentation and technical information.
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records of orders, deliveries and material requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Confidence working with computer-based systems and software.

Experience In Any Of The Following Would Be Advantageous:

  • Aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors or façade systems.
  • Material procurement or purchasing.
  • Manufacturing or production planning.
  • LogiKal software.
  • AutoCAD or other technical drawing software.
  • Kawneer, Schüco, Metal Technology or similar aluminium systems.

However, applicants with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged, as full training can be provided.
