Our client is a well‑established manufacturer of bespoke products, parts and components. This Quality Engineer opportunity will focus on CI projects, assisting with NPI projects and managing quality related projects from initial concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality initiatives as part of the Operations team, aiming to meet key performance indicators and continuous improvement goals.
- Oversee new product introductions and daily production quality management, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Build and manage customer relationships, addressing queries and complaints efficiently while maintaining outstanding service levels.
- Implement and manage 5S methodologies across key business areas, working collaboratively with management teams.
- Manage quality concerns from start to finish, including investigations, corrective actions, and documentation using CCCR and 8D tools.
- Supervise and develop a team of Quality Controllers, ensuring effective competency assessments and team performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Production Quality Engineering within the manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with ISO accreditation and Quality Management Systems, with audit experience or willingness to train.
- Strong understanding of Six Sigma principles and tools for effective problem solving.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and measure components.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a track record of managing customer relations and balancing business needs.
