JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be involved throughout the entire engineering life cycle, from initial concept and design through to prototype development, testing, validation and production. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will:

  • Develop innovative electromechanical antenna positioning systems and customer-specific solutions
  • Support motor sizing, motion control and control system selection
  • Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Assist with software and GUI development for product control systems
  • Build, test and validate prototypes
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support production testing, reliability activities and quality standards
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production and commercial teams to deliver exceptional products

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechatronics Engineer - Antenna Systems, Defence. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, takes a hands-on approach to engineering, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Experience with CAD packages such as SolidWorks would be beneficial, along with an engineering degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience. Experience within defence, military or other harsh-environment applications would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

This role is subject to successful completion of SC clearance prior to commencement.
