HSQE Manager (Health and Safety) – Hereford
Salary up to £60,000 + Pension + Health Cash Plan Scheme + EAP + 30 Days Holiday Increasing to 34 Days (Including Bank Holidays) + Travel Expenses
37.5 Hours Per Week: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30
HSQE Manager required for a highly reputable company who specialise in metal treatment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role and lead projects within a company who are true market leaders. The successful candidate will need experience in a similar role working with an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment. You will hold the NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) and have experience auditing for ISO19001 and/or ISO 14001/45001.
Reporting into the Managing Director, the successful HSQE Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing health and safety, environmental and quality standards across three sites located in Hereford and Oswestry, Shropshire, consisting of around 125 employees.
The HSQE Manager Role
- Management of one Projects Manager and one Quality and Training Technician
- Manage H and S strategy and systems including SSoW and RAs
- Ensure sites are compliant with H and S and environmental regulations such as COSHH, LOLER etc.
- Internal audits and incident investigations
- Risk Assessments
- Oversee quality standards, including maintaining established ISO19001 accreditation and conduct internal and external audits
- Monitor product and process quality performance
- Lead and support activities to secure 14001 and 45001 ISO accreditations
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote culture of H and S and quality
- Based from Hereford with travel to two sites located in Oswestry when required (travel expenses covered)
The HSQE Manager Candidate
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing working environment
- Hold NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent)
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001/45001 or equivalent.
