About The Role
Were looking for a Senior Programme and Peer Coordinator to join our team at HMP The Mount, working 35 hours per week on a 12: month fixed: term contract.
Youll lead the delivery of our 6: week Bridge Programme, while helping to develop a strong culture of recovery and peer support across the service.
The Bridge Programme is based on the 12: step principles of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous and incorporates Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and the Seeking Safety approach.
- What youll be doing
- Leading and facilitating the 6: week Bridge Programme, including intake, orientation, MET, Seeking Safety and Living Clean sessions.
- Supporting service users with their Step assignments through individual sessions.
- Completing programme suitability and risk assessments alongside Health and Wellbeing Practitioners.
- Developing and reviewing Recovery Plans and completing post: programme reporting.
- Supporting and guiding Peer Supporters and Health and Wellbeing Champions (HAWCs) within the programme.
- Line managing the onsite Peer Coordinator, providing regular support and development.
- Working closely with practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high: quality programme delivery.
- Maintaining accurate case notes, assessments, programme documentation and outcome data.
- Supporting the development of a strong recovery culture within HMP The Mount.

- Youll Have
- Experience delivering substance misuse interventions or treatment programmes.
- Confidence facilitating group and one: to: one sessions.
- A strong understanding of recovery and peer support.
- Excellent communication and relationship: building skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting, guiding or line managing colleagues.
- A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of a prison environment.
- A genuine commitment to supporting people to make positive and lasting changes.

All prison: based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting.
These checks can take up to 5 months to complete.
