This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner to join a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy, working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, rural, strategic land, and mixed-use development projects. THE ROLE
As a Planner, you will be involved in delivering planning projects from initial site appraisal through to planning application, negotiation, and determination. Working closely with colleagues across planning, development, and rural consultancy teams, you will provide planning advice to a broad range of clients including landowners, developers, businesses, and private individuals. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while developing your career within a well-established and supportive consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing planning applications and appeals across a range of development sectors
- Preparing planning statements, appraisal reports, and supporting documentation
- Undertaking site assessments and development feasibility studies
- Providing planning advice to clients on development opportunities and constraints
- Liaising with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, and stakeholders
- Attending client meetings, site visits, and public consultations
- Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects
- Assisting with business development and client relationship management
What We're Looking For
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership
- Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or property environment
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and planning policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
