JOB: Graduate Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION: East Grinstead
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 25,000 to GBP 30,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a specialist engineering company working across a range of sectors, including industrial machinery and bespoke mechanical solutions. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in East Grinstead.
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop within the company
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve
- Supporting the design and development of mechanical products and assemblies
- Creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Assisting senior engineers on live projects from concept through to production
- Liaising with production and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of designs
- Contributing to continuous improvement and design optimisation initiatives
- Preparing technical documentation and supporting project delivery
