Role


Role and Responsibilities


As a Study Skills Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students with SPLDs. You will design and deliver individualised learning plans, guiding students toward effective study strategies.


Main tasks include



  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to each students unique needs.

  • Guide students in effective study strategies and techniques.

  • Assess student progress regularly and adapt learning plans accordingly.

  • Collaborate effectively with Randstad to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

  • Utilise online teaching technologies to enhance the learning experience

  • Create engaging and personalised learning materials.


Requirements



  • Proven experience working with students with SPLDs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in utilising online teaching technologies.

  • Ability to develop and implement individualised learning plans.

  • Experience with creating personalised learning materials.

  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.

  • Strong organisational and time:management skills.

  • A passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.

PATOSS (The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS):



  • Full : Specialist teacher/assessor qualified.

  • Associate membership : Specialist teacher qualified.


British Dyslexia Association (BDA)



  • AMBDA : Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association

  • AMBDA FE/HE : Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association Further and Higher Education

  • Professional Membership


The Association Of Dyslexia Specialists In Higher Education (ADSHE)



  • Professional QA Tutor membership
