Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:00 (Overtime available; no shift allowance)
Position Objective
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to work in a team-based environment performing material handling duties within a busy warehouse. You will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders to meet tight deadlines, ensuring all orders are shipped accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse duties in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Safely operate essential warehouse equipment, specifically Counterbalance and Reach trucks.
- Use in-house software packages and PC skills for the daily picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Maintain accurate regulatory records and perform necessary in-process checks to ensure quality and compliance.
- Fully engage with continuous improvement methodologies, including PPI and 5S programs.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently met and maintain mechanical equipment efficiently.
- Work collaboratively, communicating effectively with team members, other departments, and your direct supervisor.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehousing, supply chain, or a related field.
- Education: Secondary school education required.
- Licenses: Valid licenses required for Counterbalance and Reach trucks.
- Skills: Must be computer literate, possess good written and spoken English, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Preferred: Experience operating powered industrial trucks such as order pickers and forklifts is highly preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable working in a cold room (+4C) and freezer (-20C) for extended periods.
- Role requires work of a highly repetitive nature, including walking and standing and reaching and lifting objects up to 25KG.
