I am delighted to be working with an outstanding restaurant group to help them find an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager. This role will be based in Scotland and will have frequent travel to look after sites in Ireland as well. The group are renowned for exceptional food, excellent service and gorgeous sites and this role will support and enhance customer experience.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing maintenance teams and contractors, ensuring sites operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and statutory standards. The role requires a hands-on approach to leading day-to-day maintenance activities, delivering preventative and reactive works, managing budgets, and supporting wider property projects and refurbishments. Ideally, we want to speak to people who have multi-site restaurant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the maintenance function across multiple sites to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Oversee both preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and enhance asset performance.
- Ensure all statutory compliance and safety testing (fire, electrical, HVAC, water, gas, etc.) are completed on time and documented.
- Manage maintenance schedules, prioritising works based on operational needs and business impact.
- Respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues, coordinating resources and contractors as needed.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
- Manage third-party contractors, ensuring quality, cost control, and adherence to safety regulations: Including KPI and SLA management.
- Foster a collaborative, professional, and safety-focused culture across the team.
- Support the Head of Estates in developing and managing maintenance budgets.
- Assist with refurbishments, upgrades, and property improvement projects.
- Coordinate maintenance-related work for new openings, closures, or major capital works.
- Provide technical advice and input into project planning and delivery.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company safety policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.
