Overview: Business Development Manager in the Electrical Sector in Scotland. Salary: GBP 40K β GBP 50K (DOE) OTE including a strong basic salary, bonus, and benefits such as company car, pension, health insurance, critical illness cover, and life assurance.

The successful applicant will receive a competitive base salary along with a target related bonus and extensive health and life insurance benefits. To be successful, you will have sales experience in the industrial electrical marketplace with some technical ability and product knowledge in at least one area; an electrical qualification is ideal but not mandatory.
Working remotely from a home base, you will plan your diary and customer visits within your defined territory to identify opportunities to promote and sell a full range of electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions across various industries. The company provides access to a wide range of supplier products and brands. You will report to and be guided by your local Regional Sales Manager, identify opportunities for business, engage with decision makers, and develop relationships. Extensive customer database information and marketing support are available, along with full technical support and ongoing product and technical training.
For this role we are seeking candidates located in Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Perth, Aberdeen, with good access to road networks, though an excellent candidate located anywhere within the territory will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute field-based sales activities within the defined territory.
- Identify opportunities to promote and sell electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions.
- Engage with decision makers to develop and strengthen business relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing and leverage available customer data to drive opportunities.
- Utilize technical support and training resources to support product knowledge and service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrable sales career history and proven success.
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Self-motivated, driven, with a βcan doβ attitude.
- Commercial and technical ability; knowledge of Industrial Electrical/Control and Automation is preferred.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency.
- Customer focused.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available for this role; open to individuals already living and working in the UK.
