We are looking for a Sales / Account Management specialist in Scotland or Northern England with experience of the food manufacturing environment. We are open to top, driven sales professionals from any product/service background, as long as you are selling into food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Area Sales Manager role covering Scotland, with a 50/50 split between account management and new business development.
  • Covering a well-established, high-potential territory with significant opportunities for growth.
  • Fully supported by a dedicated pre-sales technical team and post-order project management, allowing focus on driving sales and managing customer relationships.
  • Managing relationships across a broad customer base within food manufacturing, including SMEs to blue-chip manufacturers.
  • Working to progress from external sales to higher levels of responsibility as opportunities arise.

Requirements

  • Ideally, a current and proven track record of success in external sales for industrial, technical, automation or engineering markets.
  • Experience selling to the food industry is preferred.
  • Qualified Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic Engineer.
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, and capable of developing new business while managing and developing existing accounts.

Benefits

  • Salary up to GBP 65,000 per annum
  • OTE circa GBP 85,000 per annum with uncapped commission

Location

Covering Scotland and potentially Ireland. Commutable locations include Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Carlisle, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sunderland.
