Randstad Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join forward-thinking secondary schools in Rainham. Responsibilities
- Inclusion Support: Assist secondary students with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH) to access the curriculum and engage with complex subjects.
- Independence Mentoring: Help pupils develop the life skills and self-regulation strategies they need as they move toward adulthood.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Collaborate with subject specialist teachers to modify tasks, ensuring learning materials are accessible and inclusive.
- Small Group Interventions: Lead targeted sessions focused on literacy, numeracy, or social-emotional development to close the attainment gap.
Requirements
- Experience: A background in education, youth mentoring, psychology, or social care is highly desirable.
- Resilience: The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced secondary environment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with teenagers and coordinate effectively with the school's SENCO.
- Commitment: Availability for full-time hours (Monday to Friday) during term time.
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness for one).
