Sunderland Permanent Hybrid working: offering flexibility to work between their Sunderland office and home. GBP45,111 PA plus benefits 36 hours per week: Monday to Friday (12.30 Finish on Friday) You will need a full driving licence and undergo a basic DBS check. My client is currently restructuring part of their Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team to continue providing the best service to their customers and colleagues. This brings a great opportunity to join their award-winning team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Fire and Building Safety Manager in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Groups fire risk and building safety management systems.
- Undertake suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments across the Groups property portfolio in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and prepare associated reports. This includes a variety of premises including high-rise residential buildings and sheltered and extra care schemes.
- Quality review an agreed number of fire risk assessments completed by other competent colleagues in accordance with the BAFE SP205 certification system.
- Support the Building Safety Advisor: Customer Engagement and Communication to effectively implement the resident engagement strategy on building safety in high-rise residential buildings.
- Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain a digital twin, safety case and safety case report for each relevant property.
- Support the Fire and Building Safety Manager and Head of Fire and Building Safety to submit a Building Assessment Certificate application for each relevant property to the Building Safety Regulator when required.
Ideally You Will Have
- Experience of undertaking fire risk assessments, particularly (but not exclusively) in the housing or property management sectors, in line with the PAS 79 standard.
- Experience of undertaking fire risk assessments in high-rise residential buildings.
- Experience of the effective management of fire safety, particularly (but not exclusively) in the housing or property management sectors.
- Level 4 (minimum) certificate in a fire or building safety related discipline.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Fire Engineers, at a minimum of Member level.
- Eligibility to join the Nationally Accredited Fire Risk Assessors Register (NAFRAR) at Tier 3 (or willing to work towards).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information to a wide range of different stakeholders.
