Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a driven and strategic Financial Controller to join a leading and well-established company based in Louth. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage a friendly finance team, guide the financial systems, and have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on the operations, helping to analyse, strategize, and grow their financial position.

The role of Financial Controller:
- Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting of the same
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organisation
- Responsible for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organisation that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
- Comply with national financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action to ensure compliance
- Develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement including the development of AI policy within the business
- Perform risk management through analysis and recommend actions to reduce adverse risks within the business
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings to present to the management team and Board
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities including UK GAAP, HMRC, and Data Protection
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Controller:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (a finalist will also be considered)
- Proven experience in a senior accounting role
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
