Salary FTE: £25,583.00 – £25,989.00 per annum

Pro rata: £21,348.60 – £22,073.29 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay

About the School: Felix Primary School is a member of the Sapientia Education Trust (SET), a trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools. The school focuses on supporting the whole child from Reception to Year 6 and aims to create an outstanding learning community.

The Role: We are looking for a hard‑working and enthusiastic person with high standards and strong communication skills to join our Office Team as an Administration and Attendance Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience of working with school management systems would be an advantage.
  • Maintain and monitor student attendance, ensuring accurate daily records.
  • Identify and follow up on missing marks and unexplained absences, contacting parents as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Safeguarding Team and Heads of Year on attendance issues.
  • Manage calls on the school absence line.
  • Code attendance records and process absence notes, including family holiday requests.
  • Provide reception support by handling student enquiries and triaging them to Pastoral Support Assistants.
  • Prepare letters, reports, memos and other documents efficiently.
  • Assist the Safeguarding Team with administrative support, maintain records of incidents and report to Suffolk County Council as required.
  • Administer reception admissions and mid‑term transfers from other schools.
  • Receive and relay telephone messages and routine enquiries promptly.
  • Liaise with staff and external organisations as required.

Qualifications: The role requires flexibility, reliability and effective time‑management skills.
