We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a range of building services projects within an engineering consultancy environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical designs across HVAC and associated building services systems, working closely with electrical engineers and project managers. The role will involve taking designs from concept through to detailed design and supporting delivery to programme and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Mechanical design of HVAC and building services systems
- Production of mechanical calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Coordination with electrical, public health, and architectural teams
- Ensuring designs comply with UK building regulations and industry standards
- Supporting project delivery to agreed deadlines
- Experience working within a consultancy or design-led environment
- Exposure to BIM workflows and coordinated design delivery
- Experience across multiple sectors (commercial, residential, education, healthcare, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously on contract assignments
