Hours: 32 hours per week + flexible additional hours
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide a complete facility maintenance service, carrying out both regular planned maintenance servicing of the building, equipment, and assets to pre-agreed schedules and reactive works as required. The successful applicant will also support various specialist contractors to ensure compliance and that the building fabric and services are maintained in line with the customers' requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of building and facility maintenance to a standard that meets and exceeds customer expectations
- Carry out/oversee a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Monthly legionella testing
- PAT testing and record keeping
- HVAC monitoring and maintenance
- Maintaining an asset list register
- Dry/Wet riser visual checks
- Water supply and plumbing checks/maintenance
- Emergency lighting test
- Internal and external building infrastructure maintenance
- Weekly fire alarm test
- Weekly fire pump check
- Visual inspection/minor maintenance of all assets
- Waste movement and disposal management
- Maintaining external areas/grounds, including gritting and snow clearance
- Supervising and supporting the cleaning team
- Maintain the facility plant room, including hot water boilers, pumps, water systems, air handling units, and electrical infrastructure
- Identify refrigeration faults and system malfunctions
- Ensure that all applicable standards, safety procedures and policies are adhered to
Qualifications, Knowledge, And Experience
- Competency in facility maintenance/handyperson work
- C and G Level 2 / NVQ or equivalent competency in maintenance / engineering
- 5+ years of experience in similar role
- Proven experience of providing a planned and reactive service
- A team-based approach to work and a willingness to learn
Desirable
- All round Electrical Engineering MEWP - iPAF certified
- All round Mechanical Engineering Qualification
- BS2382 17th Edition
- Qualified to BTEC level 3 or similar in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Servicing
