About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to provide face-to-face home tuition for a Year 10 female student living in the WR5 area of Worcester. The tuition is required immediately to ensure the student receives education following a recent permanent exclusion. The primary goal of this placement is to provide tuition as part of a parallel pathway focusing on Core Subjects (English, Maths, and Science).

Student Profile and Needs

  • Year Group: Year 10 (Age 13)
  • SEN Needs: The student has a primary need of Moderate Learning Difficulty and a secondary need of Specific Learning Difficulty.
  • Context: The student is not currently in mainstream education and has been out of school for 12 months. When the student was in school, her attendance was low, so engaging the student in learning is a key priority.

Schedule and Availability

Tuition is required for 15 hours per week. The family has indicated availability on the following days:

  • Tuesday: Morning and Afternoon
  • Wednesday: Morning and Afternoon
  • Thursday: Morning and Afternoon
  • Friday: Morning and Afternoon

Please note: No availability on Mondays.

Requirements

  • Ability to deliver face-to-face tuition in the home environment in WR5.
  • Experience working with students with Moderate and Specific Learning Difficulties.
  • Ability to teach Core Subjects at Key Stage 3 level.
  • Sensitivity to safeguarding and social-emotional factors, particularly regarding recent community incidents.
  • A responsible adult will be present during all tuition sessions.
