We are currently looking for flexible Day-to-Day Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to support Nursery and Reception classes for Primary schools across Rochdale. This role is perfect for those who want a fantastic work-life balance, allowing you to choose exactly which days you work each week while gaining experience in various welcoming school settings.

You will be responsible for stepping into early years classrooms to provide immediate support, creating an uplifting learning environment, and keeping children safely engaged. This is a flexible supply position requiring availability for 3 to 5 days per week. Working hours are from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM on your booked days.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous provision, play-based learning, and phonics activities
  • Help teachers manage classroom routines and keep records of the day
  • Support teachers in managing class behaviour effectively and adaptively
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-6 months of recent classroom-based or childcare experience
  • Must be available to work between 3 to 5 days per week
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
  • Effective communication skills, adaptability, and discipline
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
