Location: Eye, Suffolk

Salary: SCP7 A GBP 26,403 – SCP11 A GBP 28,142 per annum. Salary Pro Rata: A GBP 19,173 – A GBP 20,799 per annum.

Vacancy Type: Permanent, 31.25 hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week.

The Role

The school caters for students of all abilities from its local community, including those with SEND. The successful candidate would mainly work with small groups outside the classroom delivering tailored interventions and individualised support, and would also support in the classroom as required. They would be responsible for the planning and monitoring of the interventions. The SEND Department plays a crucial role in the success of students, and therefore a commitment to wider opportunities such as attending trips or being a first‑aider would be an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A commitment to working with young people and future career aspirations.
  • An ability to use your initiative.
  • Some experience of delivering ASDAN, Life Skills or similar non GCSE qualifications.
  • Experience of supporting small groups of students in lessons and/or one‑to‑one work.
  • Achieved GCSE or equivalent in both English and maths at grade C/4 or above.
